Examinations
Regular dental exams are an important part of preventive health care. During your dental exam, Dr. Tracey Mulhall will identify gum inflammation or bone loss as well as evaluate your risk of developing tooth decay and other oral health issues.
Prior to your first appointment, make a list of all medications, as well as any vitamins or supplements you're taking. Be sure to let Dr. Tracey Mulhall know if you have any allergies to medications or if you've ever had a bad reaction to local anesthetics. Learn More
Dental Implants
If one or more of your teeth are missing, there are a number of ways to replace them. If you are in good general health, dental implants are an alternative to bridges, partials or complete dentures. Dr. Tracey Mulhall can advise you whether dental implants are a viable option for you. Learn More
Dental Fillings
When a part of your tooth’s structure is missing (due to a cavity or a chipped tooth), dental fillings are required to help restore the tooth’s structure and function. There are options for the type of filling you choose, including composite, inlays, and onlays. Note: We are an amalgam-free dental office. Learn More
Crowns
If your tooth is damaged, decayed, or discoloured or misshapen, a crown can be used to restore its shape, appearance, and function. You may need a crown if you have a root canal, a large filling in a tooth or a broken tooth. Crowns are made from various types of materials. Depending on which tooth needs a crown, Dr. Tracey Mulhall will suggest a material, or combination of materials, that is right for you. Learn More
Bridges and Dentures
If a tooth is damaged or removed, it is important to replace it with an artificial tooth as soon as possible. This will prevent the remaining teeth from drifting out of line and possibly causing jaw problems. Teeth that are out of line are harder to clean and more likely to get periodontal disease (gum disease) and cavities. If one or more of your teeth are missing, Dr. Tracey Mulhall will suggest replacing your missing teeth with a bridge or a denture. Learn More
Root Canals
Root canals are no longer the dreaded procedure they once were. With advancements in technology, a root canal can go just as smoothly as any other treatment. While they aren’t most people's favourite dental procedure, root canals are often necessary in order to save the tooth and surrounding nerves and roots. Learn More
Oral Surgery and Extractions
Oral Surgery is often necessary to save your teeth and gums from further damage. When your tooth’s health is compromised, oral surgery is required to save the rest of your mouth from recurring damages. Learn More
Dental Hygiene Treatments
No matter how often you brush and floss, soft and hard deposits and plaque can still build up on your teeth, especially in hard-to-reach areas of your mouth. A regular toothbrush cannot remove these types of deposits so it is important to schedule regular visits to your dental hygienist. Learn More
Sports Guards
Customized sports guards for any contact sport such as hockey, baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, weight lighting, soccer, rugby and any other sport that can cause athletic oral or facial injuries. These are specially made to fit your mouth, so it’s easy to breathe and talk still.
Snoring Appliance
Snoring is a very common problem, about 25% of all adults are habitual snorers. Habitual snoring can also be a sign of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a serious medical disorder. Lifestyle changes may be able to help decrease snoring but Snore appliances can also help. A snore appliance is worn in the mouth during sleep to gently bring the lower jaw and tongue forward to open the airway.
